TAHB Guitar

Your kids and teens will love guitar with Josh! Tacoma Area Homeschool Band Guitar classes meet September through May—and offer a summer program as well.

TAHB Piano Lab

Your kids will love Piano Lab w/SD, this one-of-a-kind class is one of our most requested classes, and students will learn piano in one of the best ways possible, in a small group! Piano Lab (ages 7 and up) is a best of both worlds’ kind of class—hands on one-on-one instruction and group ensemble experience at the same time. Students will learn to read and understand the language of music (notation, intervals, rhythm, dynamics, and expression), they will learn their scales, they will learn the piano—and to play with precision and passion!

Your kids will love choir with Kim! Kim is a seasoned vocalist and educator with over 30 years of experience first in California and then the NW. She has been a part of the academy team for a few years now and is one of our most requested teachers. You can see and hear her passion and focus on precision in the fruits of her students! And they love her for it!

TAHB Violin & Viola

Your kids and teens will love violin and viola w/Shan! Tacoma Area Homeschool Band Violin/Viola classes meet September through May—and offer a summer program as well.

Your kids will love Band w/SD! Sean-David McGoran, our director, is a professional musician and music educator with over 30 years of experience and has been a member of the US Army Bands, recorded on tracks that have been signed to television and music libraries, and he’s been leading music groups in the Northwest for over 12 years. Our band enrolls students ages 9 and up (with possible exceptions) on trumpet, trombone, saxophone, clarinet, and flute.

Tacoma Area Homeschool Band Drums & Percussion

Your kids will love Drumming w/Eli! Eli is a professional drummer with a degree in concert percussion from Central Washington University, so he’s got the foundation and can take your kids wherever they want to go including concert, symphonic, and marching percussion. But Eli is also a busy professional musician with jazz recordings, live rock and roll, and musical theater experience under his belt as a drum set player. He is also the busiest and the best drum instructor in the Olympia area, and we are excited to have him in Tacoma.
